Lutheran Serviches for the Aging

Sunday, May 13th, 2012 marked our Commitment Sunday. Thus far, a number of generous souls have pledged a one-time or three year commitment to come to the aid of seniors in need. A heart felt thank you and God Bless can be heard around North Carolina. If you have not had the opportunity to pledge yet, there is still time and there is still need. Please contact Lynne Hoffman at freetwobeme01@yahoo.com or lhoffma@mplyllc.com and we will be happy to take your pledge. Pledge cards are available in the Narthex for those wishing to contribute. Again,
thank you and GOD BLESS!

Summer Worships begin June 3rd

As we have done for the past few years, we will continue this year to adjust our worship schedule during the summer months of June, July and August. This year we will worship in one, unified worship experience at 10:00am on the Sunday mornings during June, July and August. We look forward to the opportunity to wor-ship all together and get to know everyone within our congregations. Any questions? — contact Pastor Jeffrey.

Migrant Worker Dinner

The APLC STORM team is reaching out to others in our community by sponsoring a migrant worker dinner for up to 100 people at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church on Sunday, July 1. We will be supplying hamburgers, hot dogs, and all of the fixings for the meal. Volunteers will be needed to supply the food, transport local workers to and from the Church, and set up, serve and clean up after the meal. A sign-up sheet will be posted in the narthex in June. Please contact Dan Young at 919-389-6000 for further information. Please consider helping us support this important local ministry.
